Boston Terrier Club of Connecticut
Established in 1931
Dear Boston Terrier Lover:

Thank you for your interest in rescuing a Boston Terrier.  Bostons are one of the nicest and sweetest all-around breeds that you will ever know.

Your completed application will help us understand your expectations so that we do not make an obvious mismatch.  In addition, we assess the environment you offer, looking at many different factors, so that we may place our deserving Bostons in homes that will be best suited for his/her particular needs and disposition.  The information that you provide will not be shared with any other organization or person outside the Boston Terrier Club of Connecticut, Inc.
Sometimes placement occurs within weeks, at other times, it may take months.  Requirements vary with the animal being placed.  Some  Bostons must have a fenced yard because they are active or were never on a leash, others are quite happy to live in apartments with no yard and just a walk a few times a day.  Some Bostons get along fine with other animals and some definitely do not.  Young children may be a plus in placing certain Bostons but a safety concern in others.  Some Bostons can be left alone while their humans are away at work, but it may drive another on crazy.  It is all in the match!

So, unless we have a Boston that we feel is perfect for your family and environment we will not place a dog with you even though we may have some in rescue at the time you send us your completed application.  The completed application goes into an active file and stays there until we find just the right fit for you.  We regret that we have no budget for long distance phone calls so we can not acknowledge receipt of each application.  When we have a rescue that seems to be in line with your needs, we will call and talk with you to get more information.  At that point, if both you and we agree on the rescue, we may arrange a home visit or we may make other arrangements.  You can be certain we will never place a rescue unless we are convinced that it is a great fit for both family and Boston.

If you do not hear from us right away you will know that we do not, at this time, have the right placement for you.  We will be in touch when the right rescue comes along.  In return, we ask that you do us the courtesy of letting us know if you decide to take a Boston from another source.

This will enable us to remove you from our active file.

Thank you again for your interest and concern for our beloved Bostons.
Sincerely,

Charlotte Comstock
